About the event

Tickets: FREE family event. No registration required.

Pioneer Museum hosts this festive tradition on our grounds. This one-hour Christmas concert, performed by a 65 person choir, celebrates the German tradition, "Der Singende Weihnachtsbaum." Featuring a 30-foot tall decorated Christmas tree filled with greenery, lights and singers, you will hear traditional music, German carols and sing-alongs. Guests are asked to bring their own chairs and a cozy blanket. Gates open at the Milam Street entrance at 5:30pm.

Sponsored by the Gillespie County Historical Society, Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and made possible by a grant from the Pedernales Creative Arts Alliance. Also, to help fund the attraction, several local residents have made donations for underwriting. Event is free but donations will be accepted.
