2026 FIELD TRIPS & GROUP VISITS

Thank you for your interest in visiting the Pioneer Museum. We welcome school groups, homeschool groups, tour groups, and other organizations. Visits are self-guided, allowing your group to explore the museum grounds, historic buildings, and exhibits at your own pace. Standard museum admission applies.

Groups are encouraged to include the Vereins Kirche Museum in their visit. Located just two blocks from the Pioneer Museum at Marktplatz on Main Street, it offers an additional opportunity to explore Fredericksburg’s history. Admission to the Vereins Kirche Museum is included with your standard Pioneer Museum admission.

Marktplatz also provides a convenient place for groups to take a break, with shaded seating, picnic areas, and a playground for students.

We recommend allowing at least an hour and a half to experience the Pioneer Museum and approximately 30 minutes to explore the Vereins Kirche.

We look forward to welcoming your group and sharing our story!
