When is the home tour?

The Gillespie County Historical Society Historic Home Tour is held from 11am to 5pm on Saturday November 21, 2026.

How much are tickets?

Tickets for the Historic Home Tour are $40 and includes admission to the Pioneer Museum for the day. All tickets are non-refundable.

Where do I start?

There is not a set path of houses to see in any particular order. The Museum and Historic Sanctuary open at 10am. The homes open at 11am.

Where can I buy tickets?

To purchase tickets for the tour, click here or call 830-990-8441. There are no discounts for children; infants in arms are free.

Where do I pick up my Home Tour booklet?

You can pick up the Home Tour Booklet at the first home you visit on Tour Day or the Gift Shop at the Pioneer Museum.  Pictures of and information about the homes and sponsors can all be found in one convenient place on the Pioneer Museum website. click here

Do I need to show my ticket QR code at each house?

No, your Home Tour ticket will be scanned at the first home you tour (you can start at any home), and you will receive a wrist band that will allow you entrance into the other homes at any time that day.

Where do I park?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available near each tour home and the Pioneer Museum on a first-come, first-served basis. No shuttle service is offered.

What should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Please wear soft-soled shoes to minimize harm to the floors. Dress weather-appropriate for walking between parking and the homes and possibly waiting outside for entry into each home.

Will the tour be cancelled due to weather?

In case of inclement weather, the tour will continue as planned.

What is prohibited?

Smoking, photos, food, drinks, strollers, large backpacks and pets are not permitted in any of the homes.

Are Tickets Refundable?

No – As a fundraising event, all sales are final.
