| The Solveig Sales Memorial Library is a great resource for students doing papers, research on local history, and geneology. It is open to the public, and contains books, periodicals, pamphlets, maps, military records, oral histories, family histories, and county records. The Photo Archives contain more than 10,000 historic images. Reproductions of these photos are available for purchase. |

Volunteers Needed at the Pioneer MuseumFundraising and special events--Bring us your ideas for outreach and promotion, and your energy for working on the projects, and we will welcome you gladly. Grant-writing--You input and assistance would be of great benefit to the Museum. Finance--Do you have a background in finance, accounting, running a business or non-profit? Your input would be invaluable on the finance committee. Exhibits--If you'd like to be involved long-term, we would welcome you as a member of the exhibits committee, working to develop an "exhibits plan" and working on the installation of the exhibits. Docents--Use your talents, meet some really great people, and increase appreciation for the Museum's collection by becoming a docent/tour guide. Research Center--Learn more about Gallatin County's heritage while assisting visitors with research. Interior facility maintenance--We would welcome your assistance with this project. Outdoor facility maintenance--You don't need to mow the lawn, but you can putter in the gardens to your heart's delight. ~ o ~ |
